Professor Kenneth L. Hill

Professor Kenneth L. Hill died Friday November 10, 2017 from heart failure at Abington Hospital.  He was 86 years of age.  He was born in 1931 in Manhattan, NY and grew up in Harlem, NY.  In 1951 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he saw active duty in the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged in 1953 with a Korean Service Medal 2 Star and a United Nations Service Medal.  He attended Hofstra University and obtained a master’s degree.  He went on to be a professor of political science for over 50 years at LaSalle University in Philadelphia. He is survived by his wife Jane Francis Hirsch Hill who he married in 1956, along with his three children, Gregory Robert Hill, Susan Jane Hasse and David Arthur Hill. He loved the outdoors and most enjoyed convertibles, playing tennis, swimming in the ocean, sunny days over 90 degrees, large lovable dogs (and cats), healthy debates, and cooking family dinners.  He spent his summers in Provincetown, Cape Cod playing tennis with his closest friends.  No matter where he was, he was always a New Yorker at heart.
